You gave us fantastic ideas and kept our nerves at bay! Being together for many years and having 3 gorgeous children made it a little hard for us to get really excited about it all, but you reminded us of our love for one another and how beautiful marriage is for not just us but for our whole family unit. You were always keeping us excited and we could tell you were genuinely excited for us too! Your ideas in getting our family involved were great! The Sand Ceremony and our ‘Family Hug’ at the end has still got everyone talking. Those moments were truly magical and we would never have thought of that if we hadn’t been so lucky as to meet you. The vows you wrote for us too were so heartfelt, romantic and truly resonated with both of us on so many levels. Anyone can tell Marilyn that you absolutely love what you do – your face tells it all! And you adore every single happy couple you marry. But it doesn’t stop there, you also love the families and friends. You make sure everyone involved feels at absolute ease and you really think of everything! A big highlight for me was seeing not only Timmy but you shed a tear as I was walking down the aisle. Marry Me Marilyn was the perfect choice for us and we can't thank her enough! Our perfect day was on the harbour up in Darwin. What a magical day with fireworks and sunset aboard a boat with all our family and friends. I was so nervous about the vows and with Marilyn's help on the day the words just flowed and for someone who normally hates public speaking this was just an amazing experience. We decided to write our love story for our wedding and this was all new to us as we hadn't heard much about it before. When Marilyn sent us through some examples we knew she was onto something and with her help it ended up being both emotional and funny with some great lines that had the crowd in stitches. Our guests told us our wedding ceremony was the best most interesting wedding they had ever seen. The ceremony itself went absolutely spot on with both my wife and I struggling with all the organising we were overwhelmed how well Marilyn pulled it all together with such professionalism. The ceremony was more in-depth than what we imagined. With some fresh ideas from Marilyn we co-created our own original sand & shell ceremony. This was so special for us and really touched our family. We were so happy with the way she organised our big day via Skype. The prep work all came together far better than we could have imagined :). Prior to our wedding we attended two other weddings of friends that were both good days. Unfortunately both ceremonies had the same bad celebrant that may have been a butcher in a past life and that's how we realised how important having a good celebrant really is. After doing some research we were lucky that Marilyn was available to travel across the country so we could be married by someone who really cares about her work and the couple. It's so refreshing not to be just a job but share in her passion to make your event perfect! Marilyn you made our day and we are forever grateful. Love Jack & Philadelphia x

When we decided to get married, finding a celebrant was one of our first tasks. I contacted quite a few celebrants online but Marilyn was the only one who took the time to call me personally, and after a brief chat and our first meeting we knew we didn't need to look any further. Hello Marilyn, It is with pleasure that we do this little testimonial for you. Even though we both live in Canberra we decided on the Gold Coast as our wedding venue. After surfing the web we found Marilyn’s website and there was just something about the site that made the decision for us pretty easy. What a great choice we made. Marilyn made us feel welcome and comfortable from the first time we met in her home. Nothing was too much trouble for her and all the arrangements were simple and straight forward. At least that is the way Marilyn made it feel. Most of our interaction from then on was over the phone or via email right up until our rehearsal for our special day, but again nothing was too much trouble. On our wedding day Marilyn even made sure she knew what colours the girls in our wedding party were wearing so that she made sure she was dressed to match. It is the little things that count. Even though the weather was not our best friend on the day, Marilyn took it all in her stride and never let it affect her professional attitude. The plus side was the rain just before the ceremony made us move from the beach to inside the surf club. Our guests thought this was a much better option as everyone was able to hear and see what was going on the whole time. Given our wedding was the second time for both of us the memory of this day will last forever. We especially loved the sand ceremony where our two blended families were able to create a special long lasting bond. Marilyn joined in the fun of our wedding vows, even though they were a little different. We are sure if you ask Marilyn she may even let you see them. A SPECIAL THANK YOU - We chose Marilyn as our celebrant after briefly looking on the internet for a suitable person to marry us on 3rd September 2010.  Our choice to go with her was initially based on her website, she seemed lovely even from her photos and we liked that she offered different types of ceremonies including sand ceremonies, which we didn't really know anything about but liked the idea of. We had a rough idea of what we wanted and we certainly didn't want a "traditional" wedding, we wanted to have vows which reflected our personalities and desires and to leave the guests inspired (not bored! Like so many weddings can leave you feeling). We met with Marilyn at her home, with our children after a morning at the beach and she was so welcoming to all of us, she even let our children have a swim in her pool so we could get along with business and they could have fun!! !!  We discussed what we wanted, Marilyn told us what she offered and gave us access to her website which we found to be extremely helpful with an abundance of resources and links which we used entirely to plan our ceremony.  Marilyn was always there to help and to answer questions when we got confused or stressed!  We found her to be professional, down to earth, very experienced and above all a beautiful person who obviously gets a lot of pleasure from her work.  The ceremony was perfect, all thanks to Marilyn, and the guests were so impressed with the sand ceremony and the fact that we included our two boys aged 4 and 9 which we originally hadn't thought was really possible beyond the fact that one was the ring bearer and the other was a groomsman!  Marilyn suggested ideas and the resources helped to tie everything together so that we were uniting not only as a couple but as a family unit. It was a beautiful, unforgettable and absolutely perfect ceremony, thank you so so so very much Marilyn, without you it would have been virtually impossible and I know it would not have been any where near as memorable for us and our guests!
